Enhanced CD

Enhanced CD is a generic term for hybrid Audio and Data CDs which can be played in both compatible CD-DACompact Disc Digital Audio and CD-ROMCompact Disc Read Only Memory players. Examples of valid Enhanced CDs include Mixed Mode CDs, MultisessionMultisession Compact Disc CDs (e.g. Blue Book, CD ExtraEnhanced Music CD (CD Extra, CD Plus), CD Plus, Enhanced Music CD), and Single Session Enhanced CDs (e.g. CD-I ReadyCompact Disc Interactive Ready, i-traxi-trax is a trademark for an early Enhanced CD format, pregap method). The Recording Industry Association of America filed for 'Enhanced CD' as a trademark in 1995 and recommends the name and logo be used for use on any of these discs. The tagline "See What You Can Hear" was also used, and included in one variant of the logo.
