CD-I Ready

Developed by Royal Philips and Sony Corporation as defined in the "Application Note CD-i Compact Disc Interactive Ready Discs" first published in October 1991. It is a hybrid CD-I Compact Disc Interactive / CD-DA Compact Disc Digital Audio disc format created by storing CD-I Compact Disc Interactive data in the first track's pregap in an otherwise standard 'Red Book' disc. Standard CD-DA Compact Disc Digital Audio players will automatically skip over the CD-I Compact Disc Interactive data in the pregap, beginning to play the audio at Index 01.
